GCSE Statistics (4310)

General Information

This specification aims to attract candidates to study Statistics by offering an interesting and stimulating programme of study. It provides candidates with the opportunity to progress to A-Level Mathematics and A-level Statistics, as well as supporting techniques used in a wide variety of other subjects: for example, A-level Psychology, Sociology, Business Studies, Economics, Sciences and Geography.

The specification has some content overlap with Unit 1 of AQA’s new GCSE Mathematics qualification and so Statistics can be taught alongside Unit 1. We have produced Route Maps designed to support teachers with the teaching of GCSE Maths and GCSE Statistics concurrently; and you may access these here

More resources for this specification are provided in the Teaching Resources area.

You will be able to use the Assessment Guidance, Route MapsSchemes of Work, Reports on the Examination and more.
